 The art of stained glass in our hands-on Fall Leaf Stained Glass Class!

In this workshop, you’ll use the traditional copper foil method to create a beautiful stained glass fall leaf inspired by the warm colors of the season. You’ll work through the process of foiling, soldering, and finishing your piece while receiving guidance along the way. Previous stained glass experience is recommended so participants are comfortable with the basic tools and techniques used during the class. Come create a unique handmade piece of autumn décor to enjoy throughout the season!

This is a long class so be prepared to have something to drink and a snack with you (if you wish). For safety reasons, please make sure that you have closed shoes and your long hair tied-back. please bring a kitchen towel to dry your pieces.

Stained Glass for Beginners :firefly

August 29

1 to 5 pm

 $37.80 members | $42 non- members

Ages: 16+ to adults

Skill Level:No experience required

In this copper foil stained glass class, students will create a charming firefly from colorful glass using the traditional copper foil method. Working with a pattern, you’ll learn to cut pieces grind, foil, solder, and clean your glass to form the firefly’s glowing body, delicate wings, and antennae. Once complete, the finished piece can be mounted on a stake for planting in a pot as a whimsical garden ornament, or finished with a hanging loop to become a sparkling suncatcher that catches the light indoors or out.

The class covers glass cutting basics (score, break, and shape), grinding edges, foiling, soldering, and adding a hanging ring.

Bring your husband, kids, grandkids, sister, brother, mom, dad, or a friend—everyone is welcome!

In this relaxed, step-by-step workshop, you and your loved ones will each create your own unique sun or moon leaf design on 11×14 inch Bristol paper using vibrant alcohol markers.

You choose the colors and the design, so every piece is as individual as you are.Your instructor, Anita Major, will guide you through each step with patience and encouragement—no art experience needed!

You’ll leave with a beautiful, frame-worthy piece you’ll be proud to say you made yourself.

Glass Fusion creation

Get creative and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of color, glass, and design in our Fused Glass Dish Class!

You’ll choose from a beautiful selection of glass colors, cut your own squares, and arrange them into a pattern that feels completely your own.

After class, your piece will be fired once to fuse the glass together, then fired again in a mold to create its final dish shape.

The result is a unique, handmade piece of glass art that’s both beautiful and functional—perfect for adding a special touch to your home or giving as a thoughtful handmade gift.

Please bring a dish towel to dry and clean your pieces.

In this session:

Create your own glass pumpkin with your choice of up to two colors 

Receive direction from trained professional Neal Richmond

Utilize traditional tools and techniques 

Retrieve your creation after 48 hours to allow for annealing.

Classes run from 1pm to 7pm. Each piece takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Please wear appropriate clothing (closed toed shoes, natural fibers if possible, and no excessively loose clothing)
