Advance Glass Blowing "Brain in a Jar" with Oliver Ray

You must sign up and pay for this class to reserve your space. We will teach students in the order they come to us.

Friday September 30 

Only 6 seats available per day with 1 hour Glass blowing per student.

Age: 15 +

This is the MAC Glass Blowing departement's first advanced class.

Students who have been in the Hot Shop a few time to make glass items before and would like advance their skills in glass blowing are invited to join us for this  advanced class.

The Mansfield Art Center is Kicking off the halloween season by offering something very special!! 1 student signs up but you can come with your glass blowing bestie for the same hour if they want to work together at the  on the same item: the organ Jar!  

Should student want to make an additional jar they need to sign up for an additional hour. 

Each Jar will take one hour or so to make.

Glass Blowing Special Event !!

A full 2 days of  ghosts making ...

Friday October 14 starting at 1pm to 6 pm (Last guest workshop will be at 5.30 pm

Saturday October15 starting at 10 pm to 3 pm (Last guest workshop will be at 2.30 pm)

age: This is a family event, ages 8+. Any students 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.. 

Come to the mansfield Art Center to get into the Halloween Spirit and work with glass. Participant will make a glass ghost. with the help of the instructor.

You may choose the color for your Ghost as well as your ghost's facial feature. 

Observing glass transformation from solid to molten to a beautifully shaped vessel with swirls, and brilliant colors is fascinating to say the least. Now you have an opportunity to learn more about glass blowing and try yourself. 

Each student will start their experience by learning basic hot shop safety, followed by a discussion of the colors and basic shape they hope to achieve in their glass piece.

Next, the student and staff will work together to complete their glass creation, depending on the object selected.

Please remember that a maximum of 2 to 3 people are safely allowed in the hot zone.

Make sure that you register. On this special event you register and just walk in between the hours mentionned above. First come first served so you can watch what others are doing and get your inspiration!

Parties are welcome as people can all observe the working student through the glass partition. For more information on glass blowing parties please call the  Mansfield Art Center at 419-758-1700.

Glass Blowing Special Event !!

A full 2 week ends of making pumpkins....

Friday October 21 starting at 1pm to 6 pm (Last guest workshop will be at 5.30 pm

A unique 2 days of pumpkin makin', just to celebrate the season and allow you to try glass blowing at a reduced price. It is a treat for the whole family and a really fun time. 

You may choose the color for your pumpkin as well as for the stem. Oliver, your instructor, will help you acheive the pumpkin of your dream..
