EW-08-04 to 08-28 Glass Blowing Workshop

The Mansfield Art Center is proud to welcome Oliver Ray as your new glass instructor.
Observing glass transformation from solid to molten to a beautifully shaped vessel with swirls, and brilliant colors is fascinating to say the least. Now you have an opportunity to learn more about glass blowing and try yourself.
In this unique introductory workshop, will be able to have a short experience with glassblowing. Students will be creating an object of their choice with the help of the staff at the Mansfield Art Center.
Each student will start their experience by learning basic hot shop safety, followed by a discussion of the colors and basic shape they hope to achieve in their glass piece.
Next, the student and staff will work together to complete their glass creation, depending on the object selected.
Please remember that a maximum of 2 to 3 are safely allowed in the hot zone.
Make sure that you register for your appointment from the available sessions as well as for the object you woul like to make from the list below.
A menu will be available at check out for your choice of project and price will be shown accordingly.
Please arrive on time so to be courteous to others and not loose your time slot. Classes are scheduled by 30 minutes increment.
If you are registering for siblings or couples, please make sure that you register for more than one slot.
Parties are welcome as people can all observe the working student through the glass partition. For more infos on glass blowing parties please call the Mansfield Art Center AT 419-758-1700.
