2 Day class

Ages: 16 & up
Join us at the Mansfield Art Center and create your own tufted rug! This 6 hour class will introduce students on how to operate a tufting gun as well as cut, glue and shave their own tufted piece. Students will work on their own designs on a 30x30 frame.
Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class.
. Your design can be anything! Your dog, cat, a self-portrait, landscape or even an abstract piece. Mary, your instructor will simplify your design in Photoshop and will have it projected and ready for you to start tufting when you walk in the door!
Please send a photo to Mary Haas at least a week prior to the class to be transfered to the canvas @

Paint with Anita.
Come paint this lovely birds nest on a 12x12 canvas in acrylics. Fun for all skill levels and a perfect subject for Spring. Anita will walk you through step. It is a fun and easy painting to enjoy on an afternoon.
Learn from skilled artist Anita, your instructor, who will guide you through the basics of lines, texture and shading.
All materials are provided, just bring your enthusiasm! We supply paint and canvas you need. Enjoy learning in a relaxed atmosphere where every stroke of your brush brings you closer to mastering this art form.

Ages: 14 + to adult
Create a stuning stained glass Orchid plant to brighten your home or office.
with a choice of contrasting iridized colors offered at the studio your only problem will be to choose your color .This is a 3D project. Bring your own pot, some heavy pebbles and a little moss.
Enjoy the art of Stained Glass; cutting, grinding, copper foiling, and soldering are all part of the process.
Bring a dish cloth to dry your project.
Maximum 10 participants per class.

EW-04/18th,19th-2025- Glass Bunny Sculpture Experience
with Neal Richmond

Time:4 pm to 7pm
Ages: 10+ (under 16 with parental approval and supervision)
Book your session this weekend to experience Hot Glass at The MAC! Work with experienced Glassworker Neal Richmond to create a beautiful Glass Bunny.
In this session:
- Create a Glass bunny sculpture (using up to 2 colors)
- Experience sculpting solid molten glass with traditional tools and techniques
- Recieve private instruction from expert Glassworker Neal Richmond
- Pick up your sculpture after 48 hours to allow for cooling and grinding if needed
Classes run Fridays, Saturdays, from 4 pm to 7 pm each session is booked on an individual basis. Each class last approximately 40 mn. please wear apropriate clothing (closed toed shoes, natural fibers if possible, no excessively loose clothing)

Spring is here and our colorful caterpillar is the key holder of all these sweet beautiful up coming days.
you choose you color and create our little friend in no time. an easy stained glass piece that beginners can acheive to remind you to leave your keys in one place or transform it into a planter should you have no keys to hang.
Learn how to work the wire to accomodate our caterpillar so he is jolly on his legs.

Stained Glass Spinner:Sunflower

Age: 16 and up
A beautiful stained glass sunflower slowly spinning with a soft summer brise is the pinacle of a relaxation day !
You must know how to cut glass and have taken other classes in glass prior to sign up for this project.
We will create the heart of the flower with a fused piece of glass and some frits to give a 3 dimensional look at the center of our spinner .This class is solely for the spinner. if you would like to add the cute bees to your spinner you can take the spring bees class to complete your creations .
Remember to bring a dish cloth to dry your pieces.
This is a long class so be prepared to have something to drink and a snack with you (if you wish). For safety reasons, please make sure that you have closed shoes and your long hair tied-back.
