Intro to color media

Join Kate with this fun beginners course in using soft pastels. Here’s a fun twist to Saint Patrick’s day; coloring?! This is a great introduction to color media for anyone who is interested in understanding color in art or further developing their skills. This class introduces the use of soft pastels/ chalk by using some of the brightest colors! Follow along with Kate as she will instruct you through blending, layering, and all the fun things pastels can do. See how pastels can be just like coloring but in a way that makes you feel like you’re painting! At the end of class, take home your beautifully blended rainbow leading to your pot of gold.

Jump into the serenity of the compatibility of colors and space! Day time? Evening?!This is a fun beginners class to learn to play with colors. In this class you will becreating two of the same 3.5”x 5.5” flower field scenes using soft pastels. By following along with Kate, you will be making those two scenes appear different by using warmcolors or cooler colors underneath the drawing. In just a few simple changes, see how much color can affect a drawing or painting! Take home two fields you made, that scream “It’s Spring!”
