Silk painting refers to the practice of applying paints or dyes to silk textiles.
Silk is a fine fiber made from the filaments of silkworm cocoons. When boiled and gently unwound, these pupal casings produce silk strands that can be combined into threads, which, in turn, can be used to make textiles.
Painting on silk is soothing and extraordinarily pleasing to watch. It is simply exquisite!
With a classic “Serti” method which encapsulates the dye within a certain area of the design, so the color stays in place, participant will utilize all techniques of painting with salt and alcohol, Silk painting is pretty similar to watercolor technique but with brilliant dyes.
You will have the opportunity to either wear your art as a scarf or use it as a table runner . This will be shown and discussed at the beginning of the class so that you can make the best choice for yourself.
With the help of patterns you will compose your designs onto your silk as you want it to be. there are no difficulties in silk painting just a method to apply and you will succeed. Play with colors and enjoys those beautiful butterflies!

In some cultures, there is a belief that seeing a Luna moth is considered a message to you from the universe.
A message to remind you that you need to let go of your past and embrace your present.
It is also considered as a message to get rid of your past identities and embrace the unknown.
A Luna Moth Is said To Bring Luck.
So instead of waiting for one to land on your patio, why don't you make your own Luna moth 11 x 7 inches and this one will be eternal!
Enjoy the art of Stained Glass; cutting, grinding, copper foiling, and soldering are all part of the process. You will without a doubt realize a very special piece of stained glass with YOU as the artist.
This is a long class so be prepared to have something to drink and a snack with you (if you wish). For safety reasons, please make sure that you have closed shoes and your long hair tied-back.

Instructor: Megan Steinman
Dates; Multiple Sessions Available
Tuesdays and Thursday are now open to 6 to 13 year olds

Time: 4:30-6:30
These classes are offered as a way to have fun and adventure into art after school has let out for the day! At each session there will be multiple examples avalible for the students to choose from, though there will be some kind of theme each week that the examples will relate to. This can be as simple as "pinch pots" where the items shown are all pinch pots, or it could be like a "dish" which could be from a slab, made using pinch pot methods or other methods!
The goal of these classes is to introduce different techniques for Hand-building in ceramics or to better skills a student may already have. In addition to this to have fun with the medium of clay, using new and different tools to explore all it has to offer.

EW-04-15-2026 Glass Fusion "Rainbow Bird Bath"
with Pia Douglas
Glass Fusion "Rainbow Bird Bath"
Instructor: Pia Douglas
04-15-2026
5 to 8pm
$108 members | $120 non- members
Ages: 16 to Adults
This rare and beautiful 12 inch wide Rainbow bird Bath is made in a really particular manner. Yes, we use glass but no, we do not cut it in the conventional way.
For once we break the glass where ever it wants to be broken and we play with shape and colors, directly on the kiln shelf! no, we do not use copper foil or lead because we will fuse our piece. In fact we will fuse it twice to obtain this gorgeous creation. Not mentioning that we will add a touch of iridescence at the bottom of our clear glass to give our little friends an extra attraction in the world of birds!
And .....if you do not want to use as a bird bath... simply put it delicately on your table, just be careful, the cat might want to use as his favorite sleeping quarters.
Only 4 people per class
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
